Under the leadership of Clerk Lyons, Kent County elections are administered in strict adherence to election law. During her time in the Michigan House of Representatives, Lisa chaired the House Committee on Elections and Ethics where she worked closely with Michigan's elections administrators to modernize the state's voting laws and infrastructure, making our elections more secure.

Clerk Lyons has overseen the administration of 25 Kent County elections since taking office in January 2017. In that time she's been a vocal advocate for transparency by encouraging the public and media to observe pre-election testing of voting equipment, to participate as Election Inspectors, and to attend the post-election canvass, recounts, and audits. Whether they vote early in-person, by absentee ballot, or at the polls on Election Day, Kent County voters can be confident that their elections are secure, transparent, fair, and accurate.
